PURPOSE:To simultaneously and cooperatively adjust a precise horizontal position and an arbitrary vertical position of a seat, by releasing a locking device and moving the seat horizontally. CONSTITUTION:By operating a lever 4 a cam hole 25 and a pin 28 cooperate to rotate a pawl 26 counterclockwise to disengage it from a sector gear 23. Then, when the seat is moved backward, the second links 8 that are also under influence of pulling action of connecting links 12 are rotated clockwise about pivot pins 10 of supporting frames 1a, 1b. Accordingly, the pivot pins of the first links 6 are rotated upward about the pins 10, which causes the links 6 to raise the front of the seat through front brackets. At the same time, the fourth back links 29 are rotated counterclockwise about pivot pins 30 of the supporting frames 1a, 1b. Thus, pivotal points of the pins 24 that pivotally mount the links 29 to the back brackets 14, 14' are rotated upward about pins 30 and therefore the back brackets can raise the back of the seat. |
