PURPOSE:To facilitate gap adjustment by installing an installation base onto a pair of installation surfaces projecting in the both sleeve parts of a slidable base and elastically deforming the horizontal part of the slidable base by an adjusting bolt sarranged on the center line of the installation base. CONSTITUTION:A track base 2 is fixed onto the level surface 19 of the bed 18 of a machine apparatus and a beating B is installed, and an installation base 12 is fastened 13 by bolts onto an installation surface 11 formed on the upper surface of the horizontal part 5 of a slidable base 1. Then, a pressing bolt and a hoisting bolt 16b are tightend from above the installation base 12, surveying the sliding state of the bearing B, and said horizontal part is elastically deformed upward or downward along the center line of the horizontal part. Therefore, the gap (d) between the sleeve part 6 and the outer surface of the track base 2 is varied by increasing or reducing the interval between the both sleeves 6 of the slidable part 1. Thus, preload adjustment and rolling adjustment for the ball 4 in a load ball groove 8 can be excuted easily and certainly.
