PURPOSE:To reduce the pressure loss by using a rectifier in the form of square grating with such dimensions that the relation of length in the flow direction lto the length a of one side of each square is 0.5a<l<1.5a, and that the relation of the inner dia. of pipe to the length of one side of each square is a<D/5, and thereby enhancing the rectifying effect. CONSTITUTION:As a rectifier, a square grating is installed across the flow line by arranging flat plates in parallel with the axis of the pipe, where the length in the flow direction l shall be related to the length a of one side of each square as 0.5a<l<1.5a, and the inner dia. D of the pipe to the length of one side of each square as a<D/5. This provides a sufficient and good rectifying effect as well as suppresses the pressure loss to a degree as not giving any problem substantially, and this also prevents surely deformation and destruction of the grating B caused by the flow.
