PURPOSE:To prevent the dripping of ink and to expedite the rise of formation of ink droplets at the time when the ink jet is started, by driving an ink pressurizing pump while the jet of ink droplets from an ink jet head is left OFF during a prescribed time at the initial stage of ON-operation of a power source. CONSTITUTION:In relation to the drive of valves, the drive of a pump is started earlier for a prescribed time than the jet of ink after a power source is turned ON. This time interval is set to be enough so that the ink pressure inside an accumulator 5 and an ink supply pipeline made of elastic vinyl tube which are provided between a pump 4 and a first valve 6 can rise from a pressure of 0kg/cm<2> to a jetting pressure in the condition that the first valve 6 is OFF. According to this setting, the dripping of ink can be prevented and the formation of ink droplets can be performed normally when the jet of ink is turned ON, even when the pressure of ink between the pump 4 and the first valve 6 lowers to 0kg/cm<2> before ink jetting. |
