PURPOSE:To allow the titled body to accurately track a real target on the basis of the echo of said real target, by separating an extracting a false echo and a real echo in connection with the timewise characteristics and frequency characteristics of both echoes from a receiving signal. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic signal is transmitted toward a target from a wave transmitter-receiver 1 and the reflected signal from the target is inputted to a signal processing apparatus 3 through the wave transmitter-receiver 1 and a transmitter-receiver 2. This signal processing apparatus 3 consists of a FFT processor 4 for performing the FFT (fast Fourier transform) calculation of a receiving signal, a memory apparatus 5 for storing the result of FFT calculation, a post processor 6 for extracting the information of a real target from the result of FFT calculation and a memory apparatus 7 for storing the information of the real target. A control apparatus 8 calculates a steering amount so as to allow an underwater steaming body to track the target on the basis of the information of the real echo and the azimuth signal from the transmitter-receiver 2 to output a steering signal to a steering apparatus 9. |
