PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive compsn. rich in storage stability and capable of forming a lithographic plate free of background stains by using a photosensitizing agent made of a specified diazo compd. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitizing agent used here is a diazo compd. represented by the formula in which R1, R2 are each methyl, methoxy, etoxy, or H; R3 is 1-5C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, or H; X is PF6 or PF4; Y is an anion except X; R is methyl, phenyl, or H; (m) is 95-80mol%; and (n) is 5-20mol%, and (n+m)= 100mol%. A photosensitive compsn. for preparing a lithographic plate is obtained by mixing (A) an oleophilic binder, such as polyamide, phenolic resin, or acrylic resin, with (B) said diazo compd., and (C) the other additives, such as alkyl ethers, surfactants, or plasticizers.
