PURPOSE:To obtain a simple automatic metallic die whose metallic die itself executes a press operation by constituting said die so that an electromagnet is provided between the upper plate and the lower plate to which a male die and a female die are attached respectively, the upper plate is lowered by energizing said magnet, and an object to be worked is pressed between the male die and the female die. CONSTITUTION:In a press metallic die which energizes an upper plate 17 in the upper direction by reducing and providing a spring 14 between the upper plate to which a male die 24 is attached, and a lower plate 10 to which a female die 16 is attached, and also is formed by providing an electromagnet pillar 13 consisting of an upper pillar 22 and a lower pillar 23 provided with outer cylinders 22a, 23a, magnetic core bodies 22b, 23b, electromagnetic coils 22c, 23c, insulators 22d, 23d, etc., respectively, on the upper and lower plates, an object to be worked is inserted between said male die 24 and female die 16, and the magnetic core bodies 22b, 23b are energized and magnetized by electrifying said electromagnetic coils 22c, 23c. In this way, the upper plate 17 is lowered instantaneously, and said object to be worked is pressed. After the press work is ended, a power source is cut off automatically by a switch 26d, and the upper plate 17 is lifted by an operation of the spring 14.
