The slotting tool (24) comprises a blade which works along the feed direction of the tube (9), and is accommodated in a holder lockable in a number of required positions. It is insertable through an aperture in a guide unit (20) directed towards the ground. Behind the blade, viewed in the protective tube feed direction,is a widening component for opening the formed slot. This component is wedge-shaped. To guide the cable (8) towards the slot (28) is a guide tube (18) which extends from the area behind the tool towards the ground and the slotted tube. The guide tube incorporates soft transition parts, turned inwards at the ends. Fixtures are available which enable the appts. (1) to be releasably fixed to a cable bed ploughing mechanism on the upper end (11) of a laying tube (7) which may be pushed downwards into the earth. |
