PURPOSE:To enable the stable presentation of a more number of gradations, by a method wherein ink of the same color and of the same or different depth is superposed for several times for recording. CONSTITUTION:While an ink sheet 1 is moved in one direction, recording paper 3 is subjected to recording again from the front end of one picture after the picture is once recorded thereon. On the occasion, a platen roller 4 is rotated in the direction reverse to that in recording by a control unit 10. First the ink sheet 1 is set in light yellow 5a which is a reference color, while the recording paper 3 is set at the head of a picture, and a light yellow picture is recorded. Next, the ink sheet 1 is set in medium yellow 5b, while the recording paper 3 is set at the head of a picture, and a medium yellow picture is recorded. Deep yellow, light magenta, medium magenta, light cyanogen, medium cyan ... deep cyan are used likewise in this sequence for recording pictures corresponding thereto. By this method, the depth of recorded dots can be controlled in a stable manner, and thus high-gradation recording can be performed. |
