<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of efficiently using the energies of a light source and saving the power consumption. SOLUTION: The projector is constituted so that the parts of 1st to 3rd dichroic mirrors 40A1 to 40A3 may be successively positioned on the optical path L when the mirrors are driven by a dichroic mirror motor. When the dichroic mirror motor is rotated at a prescribed rotating speed, the reflection surface 17 of each mirror 16 of a slightly rocking mirror element 28 is irradiated with light of one component among selectively transmitted R, G and B components in synchronism with the rotating speed. Except a little light which is absorbed by each dichroic mirror, one thirds of the light is transmitted through each dichroic mirror and then projected on the slightly rocking mirror element 28, two thirds of the light is reflected by each dichroic mirror and then projected on a 1st solar battery 42.</p> |
