PURPOSE:To surely inhibit differential motion after differntial motion being made by a predetermined distance, by providing projections on the outer surface of a differential gear and as well in a groove formed in the inner surface of another differential gear, respectively, which projections come to engage together when both gears rotate over predetermined angles. CONSTITUTION:A small width porjection 6a is formed on the outer surface of a differential gear 6, and as well a discontinous arcuate groove 4b is formed in the inner surface of a differential gear 4. Further, in the groove 4b, there is provided a projection 4c which comes to engage with the projection 6a when both differential gears rotate over predetermined angles. With this arrangement, the projections 4c, 6a engage together after the differential gear 6 slides on a differential casing by a predetermined distance, and therefore, no more sliding motion is brought about. Accordingly, differential motion may be surely ceased.
