During the pressing of briquettes of cut material which is compressed in a tube (6, 7), one divides the tube along a horizontal axial plane through the centre of the tube and fills the assembled tube with an appropriate amount of briquette material before the tube is closed and pressing occurs in the tube. On a pressing device with a tube (6, 7) in which the material can be pressed together with the help of a piston (3) the tube is divided into two pieces (6, 7) along a horizontally axial plane through the centre of the tube and the upper part of the tube (7) it can be raised and lowered. By doing this, one can, during a pressing procedure press together the entire amount of inflowing material into a briquette whereby the briquette will have increased mechanical strength.<IMAGE> |
