Combined sliding and pivoting shutter

Combined sliding and pivoting shutter for covering windows, doors and other building openings (2). Above the building opening there is provided a rail (4) on which a carrier (3) securing the shutter (9) runs. The shutter (9) is articulated pivotably on the carrier (3). It is supported, via a strut (20) on a fitting (21) on which the strut (20) runs in a closed curve. The pivoting movement of the shutter (9) is effected on the strut (20) by means of a cable pull (26) which can be actuated at one end. A cable pull (15) which can be actuated at two ends is provided for the sliding movement of the shutter (9). The shutter (9) is arrested in specific end positions by latching devices which are unlocked by actuating the cable pulls (15, 26). <IMAGE>
