Scarifying rake on two wheels for the working of lawns with a labour-reducing lever function. The appliance is equivalent to a balance beam with two unequal levers. The smaller lever is the working part x with the rake (3) and the wheel mounting (5). The longer lever is the operating lever y. The centre of rotation for the levers is the point A. The wheel mounting (5) and the housing plate (1) are in one piece. The point A is located exactly vertically above the wheel axle (7). This arrangement allows an easy height and depth adjustment for the rake (3) which is mounted on the housing plate (1) at the front. The wheels (6) are well proportioned in relation to the appliance in terms of their diameter, so that the appliance can be pulled very easily by means of the rolling lever force of the wheels (6). So that the wheels (6) remain adhering closely to the ground under different ground conditions, the rake is equipped with a ballast pan (9a) which can be filled either with sand or with stone from the garden terrain. Metal pieces can be pushed into the ballast space (9) underneath the housing plate (1). <IMAGE>
