For reduction of the noise, caused by the impact of the mould on the vibrating table during the compaction operation, in other words in the vibration phase, the mould, in particular the mould frame 2, is provided with damping material or an elastic layer 5 which can consist of a natural or synthetic material, e.g. rubber, Vulkolan or latex, generally or another material, counter-sheets 6 being mounted on this coating for more intensive reduction of the noise radiation. In order then also to reduce the structure-borne noise transmission of the actual noise-generating mould insert 3 to the parts adjoining it, in other words the mould frame 2, mounting an elastic intermediate layer or coating in the same manner between these two parts is also to be envisaged. In order to guarantee a complete noise decoupling, the connection elements also, e.g. the screws 4, are advantageously provided with an elastic intermediate layer. In this manner, it is ensured that noise bridges no longer exist between mould insert 3 on the one hand and mould frame 2 on the other hand, and that these parts are acoustically completely decoupled from one another. As a result of this necessary decoupling, however, it is necessary to interconnect the mould frame 2 and the mould insert 3 detachably, as a result of which there is the further advantage that the mould frame 2 can be used for mould inserts of different stone profiles as well as of different stone heights ...
