PURPOSE:To remove almost completely foreign substances in an inside conductive film while reducing the amount of gas generated from the inside conductive film by forming the conductive film on the inner surface of a cathode-ray tube envelope consisting of a funnel and a neck, followed by immersing said film into a washing liquid for performing ultrasonic washing. CONSTITUTION:The conductive liquid mainly composed of graphite, iron oxide and sodium silicate is applied to the inner surface of a cathode-ray tube envelope 3 for forming a conductive liquid film 4 while drying it at the temperature near the melting point of sodium silicate for forming an inside conductive film 5. Next, ethyl alcohol 13 is injected into a container 12 having a vibrator 11 on its bottom, while placing the cathode-ray tube envelope 3 by holding the large-diametrical part of a funnel 1 downward for exciting the vibrator 11 at 20-40kHz in order to remove foreign substances containing minute particles of graphite and iron oxide, while melting out an alkaline component inside sodium silicate into ethyl alcohol 13. |
