Process for the preparation of aqueous dispersions and the use of these for the preparation of metal effect finishes

A process in which binders, pigments, aluminium bronze and optionally further assistants are combined to give a mixture containing a maximum of 30% of organic solvent, and this mixture is converted into an aqueous dispersion in the presence of an emulsifier, gives paints (surface coatings, lacquers) which are highly suitable as the base coat of two-coat metal-effect finishes.
