PURPOSE:To improve the sealing property of the liquid metal pump by a method wherein a shaft is provided with an oil cut and a bellows having a sliding member is provided between the oil cut and a tubular body, located under the oil cut and provided with an annular clearance between the shaft. CONSTITUTION:The annular clearance 4 is provided between the oil cut 6, secured to the shaft 1, and a bush 2. The bellows 20 is welded to the upper part of the bush 2 and a concave ring 21 is welded to the upper part of the bellows. The sliding member 22 is fitted into the ring 21 and the upper surface of the sliding member 22 is abutted against the lower surface of the oil cut 6 by the spring effect of the bellows 20. According to this method, the clearance 4 may be widened and the drag of the shaft may be reduced while the sealing property of the pump may be improved.
