摘要 The device for measuring linear dimensions or variations in these dimensions using an optical reader comprises a measurement member (1) and a casing (31) separated from the latter and containing the light sources (18, 19), the detectors (20, 21), the electronic circuit (29) for processing the signals emitted by the detectors, and the display device (30). The measurement member comprises a rule (3) fitted with a scale and integral with a moving element (2) and a backing rule (22) fixed to the body (1') of the measurement member. Optical fibres (14 to 17) are arranged in order to convey the light flux emitted by the light sources (18, 19) onto the rules (3, 22), and in order to convey to the detectors the light flux which has passed through the two rules (3, 22), and whose intensity is modulated as a function of the relative position of the divisions of the rule (3) and of the backing rule (22). The electronic circuit (29) comprises a front/rear counting circuit and a calculation unit making it possible to calculate an interpolation value dividing the pitch of the graduation into at least a hundred parts. <IMAGE>
