PURPOSE:To secure durability of a disk by executing idle seeking making specified number of times of idle a unit for a floppy disk drive which is out of designated object. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with floppy disk drives FDDs 5 and 6 and a floppy disk controller FDC3 that controls an FDD designated according to the command from a higher device, and motor on/off signal from the FDC3 is transmitted to FDDs 5 and 6 in common. In this case, in processing for FDD designated by the higher device, FDD which is out of object of designation is made to execute idle seeking making specified number of times of idle a unit. |
