PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and reduce the weight of the engine by a method wherein the pulse jet engine is provided with a plurality of combustion chambers and reciprocating jet pumps and the combustion gas of the combustion chambers is utilized as the power source and heat source while it also is utilized to the operation of other combustion chamber thrugh no mavable component. CONSTITUTION:When the fuel of explosive range is injected into air in the combustion chamber 3 through a fuel injection nozzle 1 and is ignited by electric ignition plugs 2, the combustion gas of high temperature and high pressure is produced and the engine is started. A part of the combustion gas becomes a jet stream passing through a jet nozzle 11 and is utilized as power or heat source. At the same time, the combustion gas passes through a communicating pipe 6 and compresses air filling the pipe 6 to intake atmospheric air from the reciprocating jet pumps 8, 9, 10 and force the air into the combustion chamber 4. When the fuel is injected and ignited, the fuel burns explosively. During this cycle, the insides of the combustion chamber 3 and the communicating pipe 6 become partial vacuum and air enters from the reciprocating jet pumps 8, 9. The combustion gas in the combustion chamber is changed into a jet stream passing through the jet nozzle 12 and the pipe 6 and forces the air into the combustion chamber 3, thus, the same operation as above are repeated. |
