PURPOSE:To diagnose the operating state of a microcomputer system containing a master microcomputer and plural slave microcomputers, by holding the time information for each slave microcomputer and always monitoring the time information. CONSTITUTION:Slave computers 3-n contain the transmission software to judge the state of own system and transmit the information on the time, etc. to a master computer 2. The time information is sent to the computer 2 by the transmission requests given from each timer with a fixed time interval and stored in a data buffer area of the computer 2. The timer of the computer 2 performs counting-up. Then the counter contents sent from each slave computer are compared with the contents of the data buffer area when a prescribed period of time elapses. Thus the monitor diagnosis is carried out. The discordance due to a fault generated to either one of subsystems can be detected. |
