The invention relates to a device for actuating at least one folding shutter which is laterally pivotable in front of the window of a house about a vertical folding-shutter axis between an open position arranged next to the window and approximately parallel to the house wall and a closed position covering the window. The device contains an interior operating device having a rope-pull mechanism which, on the one hand, is to be fastened to the folding shutter and is guided through the window frame and which, on the other hand, terminates inside the house in the assembled state. This rope-pull mechanism serves for closing the folding shutter from inside the house counter to the force of a force accummulator.
