摘要 |
PURPOSE:To decide defectiveness and non-defectiveness in the final manufacture of ceramics by measuring the generation of acoustic emission by using thermal stress in the stage of an unsintered ceramic molding. CONSTITUTION:A degreased body 2 is disposed in a small-sized electric oven which is a thermal stress applying device 1. The body 2 is mounted in a waveguide 3 and acoustic emission (AE) is detected by an AE sensor 4 disposed at the end of the waveguide 4. The signal from the sensor 4 is fed via an amplifier 5 and a detector 6 to an AE signal processing device 7 by which the signal is stored as the AE signal. The signal inputted to said device via the detector 6 is removed of noises by a discriminator 7a and is converted to an event pulse which is counted with an AE counter 7b and is recorded as a function of time in a recorder 7c. The generation rate of AE is determined from said record. |
