Monitoring device for mechanical equipment

The monitoring device is provided for mechanical equipment, e.g. for a transfer line, an assembly line or an integrated production line. Said monitoring device has a main control panel on which, when malfunctions occur, the nature and site of the malfunction and if necessary also instructions for rectifying the malfunction are displayed. The control panel is also provided with a transmitter that transmits the displays appearing on the control panel. At least one portable receiver is provided for receiving the information transmitted by the transmitter, so that the displays on the control panel can be received by an operator, who may be located at any point of the mechanical equipment.
