Device for adjusting the idling speed of an air-compressing injection internal combustion engine

For adjusting the idling speed a device for an injection pump governor is proposed, which as regulator part of the injection pump governor has an actuator, operating dependent upon the engine, the control movement of which actuator producing the rise in the idling speed when subjected to a vacuum acts counter to an idling spring arranged in the governor housing and connected to a flyweight device, which in addition contains a shut-off valve, operating as a function of the temperature, in a vacuum line leading to the actuator, and a control valve, operating as a function of the temperature and time, in a ventilatable secondary line connected to the vacuum line. The said control valve is intended to open when the shut-off valve is opened in the warm-up phase and only the shut-off valve is to close once the internal combustion engine has reached operating temperature. In this way not only is stable running of the internal combustion engine achieved, but the abrupt cut-off of the idling rise is also reduced.
