An expansion-joint covering, in particular for flue-gas-recirculation ducts which, from the inside to the outside, consist of refractory material and insulating material, expansion joints being provided at regular intervals and coverings being arranged in front of the expansion joints, is to be improved in such a way that the expansion-joint covering ensures a reliable covering of the expansion joints over the entire refractory area. This is achieved by the covering being angular cast rails.
