PURPOSE:To facilitate operating a function operation key by calculating a function to the operation result with the operation of a function key while the operation result is displayed and executing the functional operation with operations of numerical value input and function keys. CONSTITUTION:The functional calculation is executed as follows; a depressed key is searched and a code corresponding to this key is stored in an RAM if it is found (step 1), and it is discriminated whether this key is ENTER key or not (step 2), and a result F/F which displays the operation result is discriminated (step 3), and it is discriminated whether the key code is a function key or not (step 4), and operation and functional operation of a formula inputted with keys are performed (step 5), and the result F/F is set (step 6), and a set execution F/F is set until a key other than ENTER key is inputted (step 7), and control for display is performed (step 8), and the execution F/F is discriminated (step 9), and it is discriminated whether the key code corresponds to ENTER key or not (ste 10), and the execution F/F is reset (step 11), and the storage of the formula is stored in the RAM in the order of key operation (step 12), and the result F/F is reset (step 13). If numerical value input and function keys are operated just after the end of operation, functional calculation to them is executed.
