<p>A composition for regulating the growth of plants which comprises as active ingredients an effective amount of (E)-1-(4-chlorophenyl) -4,4- dimethyl-2- (1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) -1-pentene-3-ol and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of 2-chloro-4,6-bis-(ethylamino)-s-triazine, 2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-iso-propylamino-s-triazine and a phenoxyacetic acid type compound represented by the formula,
