PURPOSE:To obtain the titled sheet having excellent fastness in respect of friction resistance, washability and color fastness to light, by a method wherein layer of separable resin, a particular pattern and a solvent are formed over the base sheet, and are capable of forming a print which is clear, soft in hand on a synthetic fiber material to be printed. CONSTITUTION:A base sheet 1 (e.g. cellulose paper) is coated totally or partially with separable resin layer 2 (e.g. ethyl cellulose or the like). Then, a printed pattern layer 3 containing a mixture of a high molecular elastic resin (e.g. a copolymer resin of ethylene and vinyl acetate or the like) and a pigment (e.g. copper phthalocyanine green or the like) is applied over the layer of the separable resin 2. Further, a solvent layer 4 containing a synthetic fiber solvent (e.g. paraphenylphenol or the like) is formed all over the pattern layer 3. The sheet thus prepared is pressed against a synthetic fiber material 5 to be printed and heated for transferring the pattern to the material 5. |
