A colour cathode ray tube display device which is compensated for colour distortion due to, e.g. vibration, comprises means (9-12) for producing signals representing the respective colour light outputs from the phosphor screen (5), means (13) for comparing the signals with the corresponding colour impact video signals and means (14) to provide a correction signal to reduce any deviation between the signals.
