PURPOSE:To minimize the unnecessary time required in the reciprocal movement of recording paper, by feeding the recording paper to a recording part along a recording paper recirculation path at every recording of one color. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper feed path 31 for guiding single recording paper 22 from a recording paper receiving part 20 to a line scanning type thermal head 12, a recording paper discharge path 32 for guiding the recording paper from a thermal head 12 to the outside of the apparatus and a recording paper recirculation path 33 faced not only to the recording paper discharge path 32 at the inlet thereof but also to the recording paper feed path 31 at the outlet thereof to selectively take in the fed-out recording paper to again feed the same to the thermal head 12 are formed. A recording paper matching means 46 is arranged to the recording paper feed path 31 from the outlet of the recording paper recirculation path 33 to the thermal head 12. The recording paper is passed on the thermal head 12 so as to be recirculated by the number of coloring times and the solid ink of each color of an ink ribbon 61 is successively adhered to the surface of the recording paper in a molten state by the thermal head 12. At this time, the recording paper 22 is once stopped by the recording paper matching means 46 and the recording paper is fed to the thermal head in synchronous relation to each color of the ink ribbon. |
