PURPOSE:To reduce force to be applied onto a vessel by observing the wave coming toward the vessel and performing steering control properly and automatically on the basis of observed results. CONSTITUTION:Each wave in front of the hull is observed continuouesly through a wave face meter 31 to anticipate the wave 22 subjected to the hull through a wave anticipator 32 on the basis of the observed results. Then the motion of hull against the wave is calculated on th basis of the output from a hull motion meter 33 to anticipate the state of collision of the wave 22 against the hull 11 through a wave collision state anticipator 34. The anticipated state of collision is fed through the wiring 37 in a control system to a steering commander 35. The steering commander 35 will feed a steering command to a steering machine 36 to take such course as not subjected to excessive wave shock to rotate the rudder by required angle. |
