PURPOSE:To suppress the temperature rise of a disc to a low value by sealing a phase variable substance in one disc of elements which form a brake. CONSTITUTION:A disc 2 mounted on a wheel 1 is rotated, and when the disc is stopped, an exciting current is flowed to a coil 3, and the rotation of the disc 2 is stopped by a brake force between an eddy current generated at the disc 2 and a magnetic field of the coil 3. A sealed space 4 is provided in the disc 2, and phase variable substance 5 such as solid wax is sealed therein. When the temperature of the disc 2 rises at the stopping time, the generated heat is absorbed by the substance 5. |
