PURPOSE:To conjecture easily the average remainder of life from now of an oil-immersed electric apparatus without applying damage to the apparatus at arbitrary time of the working oil-immersed electric apparatus by a method wherein an insulating paper piece in the oil is taken out from the vessel of the titled device, and the degree of deterioration thereof is measured. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 10 is suspended in the oil 18 of an oil-immersed electric apparatus, and the proper quantity of the oil 18 in the oil-immersed electric apparatus is flowed in the vessel 10 through circulating holes 22 on the peripheral wall thereof to be reserved. Insulating paper pieces 14 the same kind with insulating paper used for the coil part 12 of the oil-immersed electric apparatus are inserted to be immersed by the proper number of sheets in the oil 18 in the vessel 10. When a current is flowed to the coil part 12 of the oil-immersed electric apparatus through a wiring part 28, a current flows also to the heat generating coil 24 of the outer peripheral wall of the vessel 10, and the temperature of the oil 18 reserved in the vessel 10 is heated always to be held at the maximum temperature generated in the coil part 12 of the oil-immersed electric apparatus. The insulating paper piece 14 in the oil 18 is taken out at a proper time, the degree of deterioration of the insulating paper piece 14 is measured, and the remainder of life of the oil-immersed electric apparatus is conjectured from the degree of deterioration of the insulating paper piece 14.
