PURPOSE:To provide a novel brazing filler metal and titled joining target for a high melting metallic material and graphite by providing an Ni or Co layer on the surface of a metallic material of >=1 kind among Ni-W, Ni-W-Zr, Ni-Mo and Ni-Mo-Zr alloys in which contents of W, Mo and Zr are respectively specified. CONSTITUTION:A brazing filler metal is clad foil provided with an Ni or Co layer of 0.01-20mum on the surface of >=1 kind of metallic materials consisting of an Ni-W alloy contg., by weight, 5-30% W, an Ni-W-Zr alloy contg. 5-30% W and <=20% Zr and an Ni-Mo-Zr alloy contg. 5-30% Mo and <=20% Zr. This brazing filler metal does not attack a graphite base plate and can join securely a high melting metallic material. The metal forms a highly strong thin joint layer and since the joint layer is non blow-hole and defectless, excellent heat conductivity is obtd. |
