<p>PURPOSE:To increase the degree of recovery of a product by introducing a gaseous mixture into the second adsorption tower via the first adsorption tower, changing over the introduction of the gaseous mixture to the second tower in a period of the saturation of the first tower, introducing the gas used for clearing the first tower into the second tower and thereafter performing the desorption. CONSTITUTION:A gaseous mixture of CO and N2 is sent to an adsorption tower 3a to adsorb CO and the exhaust gas is sent to an adsorption tower 3b via a connecting pipe 8a of the adsorption towers to adsorb CO. When the tower 3a is reached to an adsorption equilibrium, the introduction of the gaseous mixture is changed over to the tower 3b and the tower 3a is cleared with gaseous CO product fed from a gaseous product storage vessel 5 and the outflow gas is sent to the tower 3b to adsorb CO and only gaseous N2 is discharged through an exhaust pipe 7. Then CO adsorbed in the inside of the tower 3a is desorbed with a pump 4 and stored in the storage vessel 5. CO is recovered by repeating these stages in order.</p> |
