PURPOSE:To enable loading work in a wide and large bulk carrier by providing a loading gate travelable in longitudinal direction while traversing one of the left/right hatch rows while installing a longitudinal and lateral conveyors on the upper deck. CONSTITUTION:A loading gate 17 traveling in the longitudinal direction while traversing one of the left/right hatch rows 12, 13 is provided. A trolley 21, lifting hopper 22, loading hopper 24, conveyor 25, shuttle conveyor 26 and telescopic shoot 27 are arranged through trestle 18 and girders 19, 23 to said gate 17. A longitudinal conveyor 16 is provided on the upper deck at the intermediate section of hatch rows 12, 13 along the center line of hull while a lateral conveyor is arranged. An unloader 2 having body hopper 4, conveyor 5 and grab bucket 3 is installed on the quay to enable loading work of wide carrier irrespective of short reach.
