PURPOSE:To continuously transfer a fluorescent lamp and weld the base pin and lead wire of the fluorescent lamp end by rotatably providing a disk-type electtode with a recess formed on the external periphery at an interval associated to the interval of the arrangement of the fluorescent lamps. CONSTITUTION:When a welding electrode 5 and a base pin p1 are set in a positional relationship as shown in A, the welding of the tip of base pin p1 is started while a fluorescent lamp is moved after welding current is applied to the welding electrode 5. In addition, when the welding electrode and the base pin are set in a positional relationship shown in B, the power supply into the welding electrode is stopped and welding is terminated. When the power supply is stopped, an arm 7 is turned in the direction of an arrow X at a higher speed than a shaft 3 and the position of the welding electeode 5 in relation to a subsequent base pin p2 is set as shown in C. Then the welding electrode 5 is supplied with power and the welding of the tip of base pin p2 is started. Welding advances by the same distance and is terminated. As a result, while a fluorescent lamp is continously being transferred, the pase pin and the lead wire can accurately be welded, speeding up production thereof. |
