DEVICE FOR CHANGING SPRUE POSITION WITH MOLDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To simplify the positional change of a sprue stick with exchange of a pattern by providing means for attaching the sprue stick by means of a sprue base plate to squeezing device for the cope of a molding machine and restraining and releasing the sprue base plate and means for turning and displacing the same in a released state to said device. CONSTITUTION:A releasing cylinder 30 is extended to push a turning shaft 27 against a push spring 29, thereby detaching a sprue base plate 25 from a squeeze plate 10 in the stage of exchanging a pattern. A signal for changing a sprue stick 24 to the position B facing the pattern of a kind B is inputted to a motor 31 provided with a detector. Then the motor 31 is driven to rotate an output shaft 32 by which the plate 25 is turned via gears 33, 34 and a turning shaft 27. The motor 31 stops upon detection that the stick 24 arrives at the position B. The cylinder 30 is thereafter retracted and the plate 25 is brought into press contact with the plate 10 by the spring 29 and the positional change of the stick 24 is completed.
