PURPOSE:To increase the amount of push even when a coil is molded using a conductor with a small allowable elongation value and reduce pushing load even when the amount of push is increased by using a winding core made of two winding core pieces whose length of a coil molding section can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION:A press ram is made to touch an upper plate 6 and a press and a winding core driving device 12 are activated and then the ram starts descending. While winding core pieces 13 and 14 are being displaced and are being made to approach mutually corresponding to this amount of descent, both ends of a flat coil 1 are pressed by an upper mold 5A and a lower mold 3A and are bent and worked without generating elongation in each section of a conductor. When the upper mold 5A is pushed by the maximum amount of descent by the ram and the winding core pieces 13 and 14 are separately displaced by the maximum displacement, a desired saddle type coil is molded. As a result, even when the coil is molded using the conductor with a small allowable elongation value, the amount of push can be increased and the saddle type coil can be manufactured with a low pushing load and without generating destruction of insulation even if the amount of push is increased. |
