PURPOSE:To adjust the amount of chlorine hydrate and that of electrolyte and efficiently conduct charge-discharge in an appropriate electrolyte quantity in long time operation by installing a chlorine hydrate return pipe between an electrolyte bath and a chlorine hydrate bath and attaching a liquid amount adjusting valve in a pipe line. CONSTITUTION:When chlorine hydrate level 10 is located in higher place than electrolyte level 11, a chlorine hydrate return pipe 12 is installed between an electrolyte bath 5 and a chlorine hydrate bath 7 and a chlorine hydrate amount adjusting valve 13 is attached in this pipe line. A mixed gas of chlorine and steam in the space on the electrolyte bath 5 is sucked through a pipe line 15 with a gas liquid pump 2 installed in the chlirine hydrate bath 7 and steam is condensed in the hydrate bath and chlorine is kept as it is. When water containing chlorine exceeds a specified amount, the valve is opened and chlorine hydrate flows into the electrolyte bath through the pipe 12. When the amount of hydrate reaches a specified level, the valve is closed. |
