SPANNING TREE CONTROLLER AND METHOD AT THE TIME OF TROUBLE/INCREASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device which can maintain network operation without causing the reconfiguration of a network at the time of the occurring of increase/trouble of devices employing spanning tree protocols in particular in regard to the method and the device connecting between the segments of a local area network(LAN). SOLUTION: The method increasing the device in the network by the spanning tree protocols or restarting operation in the network which consists of the shift to the state only receiving the device at the time of the increase or operation resumption, collecting information in the network in the state of only performing receiving, calculating the priority of a self device which does not bring existing network into change and the shift to the transmission available state after setting the calculated priority in the self device.
