PURPOSE:To improve the seal-tight performance by forming one of two seal rings with flexible material while the other with hard material and providing a corner section then biting one ring into the other. CONSTITUTION:A stopper ring 2 is fitted over the inner circumferential section of casing 1 then a shaft 3 is penetrated and a rotor 4 is fitted over the shaft 3. Then a seal ring 5 made of hard material is fitted through a packing (P) over the rotor 4 while a corner section 6 is provided at the side of said ring 5. A packing 10 is fitted over the outer circumference of an inner tube 9 forming the stopper ring 2 while a seal ring 12 made of flexible materialis fixed through a reinforcing ring 11 to one end of the packing 10. Thereafter the corner section 6 and the face 13 of both rings 5, 12 are contacted to form a seal face (S). When biting the corner section 6 into the face 13 and promoting the biting as the seal face (S) abrases, seal-tight performance is improved. |
