NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [A is H, lower alkyl, or phenyl; B is H, or lower alkyl; D is H, COOR(R is lower alkyl), COAr(Ar is phenyl which can be replaced with halogen), etc,; X and Y are H, lower alkyl, etc.; Z is N, etc.]. EXAMPLE:N-[(4, 6 - Dimethyoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-4-ethoxycarbonyl)- 1-methylpyrazole-5-sulfonamide. USE:A selective herbicide. Having high herbicidal action and high safety to important crops such as rice plant, wheat, etc. Since a small amount of it is effective, it is also usedful as a herbicide for orchards, or nonagricultural lands. PREPARATION:A derivative shown by the formula II is dissolved in a sufficiently dried inert soluvent such as dioxane, etc. and a pyrimidine or triazine derivative shown by the formula III, to give a compound shown by the formula I .
