PURPOSE:To obtain a wire for a dot printer excellent in impact resistance and tensile strength, by a method wherein the end part of a wire material coming to the wire for the dot printer is inserted into a tubular body and, after end parts of both of them are soldered, a large sphere is formed to said end parts by soldering. CONSTITUTION:For example, a wire material 30 comprising high speed tool steel is prepared while a tubular body 31 (for example, comprising SUS-304 stainless steel), which has an inner diameter slightly larger than the diameter of said wire material but having a length shorter than that of said wire material and obliquely cut at one end thereof, is prepared. In this case, a wire material 32 (for example, comprising a phosphorus bronze wire or a piano wire) is wound around the outer periphery of the tubular body 31 two - three times. The wire material 30 is inserted into said tubular body 31 and, after the leading end of the wire material 30 and the leading end of the obliquely cut part of the tubular body 31 are aligned, both leading end parts are connected by a hard solder material (e.g., silver solder) and a sphere 33 larger than the outer diameter of the tubular body 31 is formed by said hard solder material. |
