PURPOSE:To detect a radioactive substance contained in the extremely small quantity of sample highly accurately by adhering a liquid sample continuously to the surface of a long film-like measuring tool containing an accelerated fluorescent substance and measuring radiation energy absorbed to the measuring tool. CONSTITUTION:While supplying the liquid sample 3 containing the radioactive substance continuously to the surface of the long film-like measuring tool 1 containing the accelerated fluorescent substance, the measuring tool 1 is moved in the long film direction, the liquid sample 3 is continuously adhered to the measuring tool 1 and at least a part of radiation energy discharged from the radioactive substance is absorbed to the measuring tool 1. Then, the radiation energy accumulated in the measuring tool 1 is discharged as accelerated light and the accelerated light is read out photoelectrically by a photodetector 10 to measure the radioactivity in the sample continuously. |
