PURPOSE:To uniformize printing density, in controlling an ink supply amount corresponding to the scanning part areal ratio of each parallel strip shaped region by dividing a printing region into a large number of parallel strip shaped regions, by adding the scanning part areal ratios of adjacent regions. CONSTITUTION:A printing plate 10 is divided into a large number of strip shaped regions A1-A32 in parallel with the rotary direction thereof and the scanning part areal ratio of each of the printing regions A1-A32 is measured while an ink supply amount is controlled by ink keys F1-F32 corresponding to the printing regions A1-A32. In this case, the ink supply amount is corrected corresponding to the scanning part areal ratios of adjacent printing regions. This correction is pref. performed according to formula [wherein the left side is the corrected areal ratio of (i)-th printing region, X(i-1), X(i) and X(i+1) are scanning areal ratios of (i-1)-th, (i)-th and (i+1)-th printing regions and a, b, c are weighing coefficient about each printing region]. |
