PURPOSE:To facilitate matching of a phase, by a method wherein, in a device which has a first gear, driven by a rotary body detecting a rotation phase, and a second gear which is driven by the first gear and located on the rotation measuring signal generation side, the first gear can be displaced in the direction of an axis. CONSTITUTION:A first rotary body 1, gearing with a gear which is driven by a loading ring and detects a rotation phase, is formed integrally with a first gear 1', and is pushed upward through the force of a spring 6. A second gear 2, having integrally with a column 9 at the lower part, is located in a manner that it gears with the hear 1', and the column part 9 has a gear part 2a formed in the same shape as that of the gear 2. A conductive part and a non-conductive part are situated concentrically with the second gear 2, code discs 4, having a code pattern, are located, and an angle displacement amount is outputted as a digital amount through rotation of slide contact probes 5 attached to the gear 2. The first gear 1' is matched in a phase at a phase reference point during engagement of the first gear with the gear part 2a. |
