PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of bevelling working and the whole bevelling operations by bevelling simultaneously ridgeline or corner portions of prisms opposed to each other in the same plane. CONSTITUTION:A robot section 2 for conveying prisms is provided on a base 1, and rough and finishing grinding units 3, 4 are arranged in parallel within the moving range of the robot section 2. Next, a work holding member is provided on a plate in a position adjusting section so that its position can be adjusted relative to a grinding wheel section under the optimum condition. Further while the grinding unit tends to move the prism side, it fixes the prism side to a fixing section in a position corresponding to a grinding wheel so that, under this position, opposed ridgeline portions or corner portions can be bevelled simultaneously on the same plane of the prism. |
